“WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE?”
Since 2020, The Financial Academy has hosted 4-Day and 5-Day Financial Literacy Summer Camps under the theme “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?”.
During our “Camp Millionaire Mindset” Summer Camp, we highlight the importance of financial literacy, being intentional with saving money, creating small budgets, keeping financial records, planning for your desired lifestyle post retirement, and estate planning at an early age. Each day includes a hands-on lesson about how finances work in the real world.
In some instance, participants perform camp chores to earn money, learned how to withdraw and borrow money from “The Bank of The Financial Academy” and how to create their own budget before spending their money at the “TFA Value Market” we set up on site during our in-person camps.
For the older teens, we throw in a few sessions about stocks and each student selects a company they would like to invest in, do their research and provide reasons for choosing their respective companies. The students usually return with some pretty good reasons and great companies too!!!
In addition, we also host mini Pitch Competitions so students have an idea about how to develop a business idea and what information potential clients and investors are looking out for!
We enjoy teaching youth about the importance of saving as little as a penny to starting their own business and everything in between.

We’re on a mission to expand this listing next year by visiting more of our Children’s Homes across the country in addition to Vacation Bible School groups.
